After breakfast, a guide will take you on a private vehicle tour of Kathmandu. Kathmandu Valley contains seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites, with Kathmandu City having four. You’ll see Pashupatinath, the holiest Hindu temple, Bouddhanath, the biggest stupa, Swoyambhunath, the oldest stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square, the former Royal Residence.

After breakfast, drive to the eastern end of Kathmandu Valley, Sundarijal, which is a trekking starting place, 15 kilometers in an hour by private vehicle. The trail begins with a climb on the concrete beside the drinking water pipeline to Kathmandu Valley, passing through military checkpoints and the big typical Tamang hamlet of Mulkharka (1800m). The trail climbs farther into the Shivpuri Watershed and Wildlife Reserve, passing through a pine, rhododendron, and oak forest. The last hour falls immediately after the pass BorlangBhanjyang (2460m).

Today’s trek follows a traffic off-road path through dense woodland with spectacular views of the valley, including Mt. DorjeLakpa and the JugalHimal range. A walk between the settlement and the forest, followed by a walk via the terraced farming fields, leads us to the hill city of Nagarkot at 2175m. On a clear day, Mount Everest may be viewed from this location, which offers a wonderful view of the sunset.

After breakfast, hike over the ridge of Nagarkot Hill then descends into a lush green valley to a terraced rice field. Continue on the level trail until you reach the Araniko highway. Take the short bus journey to Dhulikhel. Sunset is a spectacular sight in the evening.

The walk passes through quiet communities with few tourists. After 5-6 hours of trekking, you will arrive at Namobuddha, a Tibetan Buddhist hamlet with a magnificent chorten and monastery. Spend the night at the Gompa and enjoy the prying ceremony. Dinner with a monk and the opportunity to practice meditation the next morning before setting out on the walk are two of the trip’s highlights.

Trek to Panauti, the legendary town, and visit the old temples. On the route, you may see a whole rural environment and a living museum. After lunch, drive to Bhaktapur, a historical heritage site. Explore the day and evening before returning to Kathmandu and transferring to your hotel.
